Now you Northerners laugh at us, but remember, we Southerners don't do this kind of weather. Like ever. And when we do, its just a little bit here and there. I've been up since about 6am this morning. At that time there was already about an inch of snow at my house. In the hours since then, the large, beautiful, wet flakes have continued to fall and there is now about 3 inches on the ground. I love it.....as long as I don't have to travel in it. Or be stuck in traffic. Or in a place that is not my house. Yes, I am at my office right now, but I'm only a mile from home and if I have to I'll huff it. I went prepared to the office with waterproof boots/jacket, gloves, and hat. I love the outdoors. :)
Now, tomorrow may be a different story. Today's action should be ending around noon or so. Around midnight we start all over again, but it's not just snow this time. Tonight/tomorrow will be ice. Now I can handle several inches of snow with the best of them. But ice? I'm not so sure about that stuff. Especially when it threatens my ability to take a nice, long, hot shower.
That being said, I'm trusting the Lord to sustain our power, at least at our house. I'm not going to worry or fret over what might happen in the next few days. I'm gonna enjoy being 5 years old again and play in the snow. With my husband and Zippy. We are going to make wonderful memories and savor the little moments.
